Alfred nobel
Alfred Nobel was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on October 21, 1833. When he was five years old his father moved to St. Petersburg, where he set up an engineering factory. Alfred was suppose to have five siblings, but two died as infants. Alfred was tutors he had a Swedish tutor and a Russian tutor He spoke five languages, Russian, Swedish, English French, and German. Two of Alfred Nobel’s brothers became engineers, but he studied chemistry. Alfred Nobel never went to college or got a degree when he was 17 he started to travel to study other chemist. In his travels he met with another scientist who discovered Nitroglycerin a chemical that was very powerful, but nobody could find out how to control it. In 1862 he finally got it to explode and he controlled it which is dad failed to do. Alfred's dad Immanuel accused Alfred of copying his dad. Alfred then cleared things up with a letter to his dad explaining what happened and what he did.
Three Major accomplishments
1. Alfred finds a way to control nitroglycerin by adding elements to it this invention was called Dynamite
2. Alfred discovers a new element for blasting its called ballistite.
3. Alfred felt bad of all the deaths he was responsible for he made a will for his death where most of his fortune that he made from dynamite go to the Nobel Piece prizes which rewards people who make great discoveries.
