Max Born
Max Born was a German physicist and a mathematician. He also made contributions to solid- state physics and optics. Born won the 1954 Nobel Prize in Physics for " fundamental research in Quantum Mechanics " . Born went to University of Gottingen in 1904. Gottingen became one of the worlds foremost centers for physics. The following year, he made the now-standard interpretation of the probability density function for ψ*ψ in the Schrodinger equation, that's why he was award the Nobel Prize in 1954. In January 1933 the Nazi Party came to power in Germany, and Born was a Jewish and was suspended. He left to Britain and found a a new job at St John's College,Cambridge. When he went to st Johns he wrote a very popular book. Max Born was finally a naturalized British subjects on August 1939, one day before World War III broke out in Europe. He stayed in Edinburgh until 1952. He retired because he had bad Pyrmont in West Germany. He died in the hospital in Gottingen on 5 January 1970.
Max born and Walther Bothe both won the Nobel Prize in 19454. They Both won it because it had to be divided equally between Max " For his fundamental research in quantum mechanics, especially for his statistical interpretation of the wavefunction" And Walther " for the coincidence method and his discoveries made therewith "
