Pythagoras
Pythagoras of Samos was born 570 BC and died around 495 BC. Pythagoras was born in Samos, Greece. Since He was born so long ago and most of the stuff written about him were written after his death, little is 100% known about Pythagoras. In the year 930 BC Pythagoras moved to Croton, which is in Manga Graecia (Great Greece in latin), And built his own religion called Pythagoreanism. He is said to have died after the city rebelled against his religion and forced him to flee. It is written that he died in Metapontum.
Pythagoras' accomplishments:
#1: Pythagoras came up with the Pythagorean Theorem: (A x A)(B x B) = (C x C)
#2: Pythagoras came up with even and odd numbers, perfect numbers, triangular numbers, square numbers, and other properties of numbers.
#3: Pythagoras was also an astronomer and came up with the theory that Venus was the evening and the morning star and also said that the earth was a sphere in the center of the universe (which is half correct).

Page created by Mitchell B. I enjoyed researching Pythagoras because I learned many new things about him that I hadn't known before. I enjoy playing video games with my friends.
