    In 1911 Ernest Rutherford designed this structure for the Atom and announced it to the public. He worked for a long time. He worked in New Zealand.

    Ernest Rutherford made many discovery's such as discovering two types of rays that he named Beta and Alpha. Ernest Rutherford discovered the nucleus in 1911 using the gold foil experiment. Ernest Rutherford discovered protons in 1918 towards the end if his life.

He was knighted as Sir Ernest Rutherford. He became a president of the Royal Society of London. President of the institute of Physics.
