Ernest Rutherford made many discovery's such as discovering two types of rays that he named Beta and Alpha. Ernest Rutherford discovered the nucleus in 1911 using the gold foil experiment. Ernest Rutherford discovered protons in 1918 towards the end if his life.
Ernest Rutherford won many awards from school, science academy's and he also eared scholarships. He went to college in New Zealand. He invented many things and earned many awards. He was knighted as Sir Ernest Rutherford. He became a president of the Royal Society of London. President of the institute of Physics.

Austin B. -Wisconsin, I picked Ernest Rutherford because at first I had never heard of him, I did a quick Google search and realized that he was a cool scientist that designed the structure of something amazing. He was also awarded many awards for his greatness. I enjoy being with friends and also my dog.
